Abstract

|
Dysphagia occurs as a result of variety of structural damages and/or neurological diseases and/or other things. Swallowing therapy is composed to compensatory techniques and rehabilitation techniques. Maneuvers, exercises, sensory-motor integration techniques are to be included rehabilitation techniques. It is very important that provide appropriate swallowing therapy to the patients for decreased their symptom. So, therapists have an intimate knowledge of the various treatment techniques. Appropriate swallowing therapy according to the patient’s diagnosis, characteristic, and swallowing function will have positive effects on improvement of swallowing function on dysphagia.
